Students of The Pen Muslim School were on excursion to the Printing Press of Media Trust Limited, publisher of the Daily Trust titles, at Oregun, Lagos last week. The excursion was aimed at exposing the students to the processes of newspaper printing and production.
Media Trust’s Assistant General Manager, Production, Mr Peter Omananyi, who took the students round the printing press, explained to them how the printing machine works. He also intimated them on the rudiments of newspaper production, adding that the production department was fundamental in media houses.
General Manager, Southern Operations, Mr Ademola Oladosu told the students that information was very key in the modern age. He advised them to always read newspapers so as to be aware of events happening around them and globally. He also urged them to put in their best in their academics.
Director of the school, Mr. Olatunde Odunsi, commended Media Trust Limited for hosting the students, adding that the visit would go a long way in exposing them to important institutions in the society, as well as effectively prepare them to be change agents in the country.
He added that the excursion was geared towards enabling the students know what to become in the future, as well as to be successful in every facet of life.
