The secret of a satisfying life (II)

(Continued from last week)

Last week we looked at the life of King David

  1. Apostle Paul. Jesus said concerning Paul; he is a chosen vessel to bear the name of Jesus. Acts 9:15, “But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…” Glory to God! He is a chosen vessel! Chosen, not by man but by God. He was not chosen by men or a committee of elders, he was not chosen by any government but by God Almighty. He is not the only one chosen, you and I are chosen too. The Bible says in 1Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” You are chosen, I am chosen, we are chosen to stand out of the crowd!

Apostle Paul later wrote in Galatians 1:15-16, “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, [16] To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen…” God separated him from his mother’s womb yet for a long time he did not know God until that memorable encounter. You are about to have an encounter that will put you right in the will of God and make you great, in the name of Jesus!

  1. God revealed to Jeremiah something amazing, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5.

Like an architect, He decided what He wanted to use you for, then designed you and captured you in His book; and proceeded to create you. He worked out every detail until He was satisfied then proceeded to put you in your mother’s womb. Then he brought you out and waited until you were ready to be deployed into service. Your assignment on earth is not your decision; it is your discovery.

I want you to notice something here. God did not attribute Jeremiah’s existence to his parents so he wouldn’t have to live for his parents. He did not attribute his existence to his friends, so he didn’t have to live to please his friends. He didn’t even attribute Jeremiah’s existence to Jeremiah so Jeremiah will not be tempted to live for himself. Rather, He attributed Jeremiah’s existence to God so, he could live purely to please God! Therefore, the person you should listen to is not yourself, your parents or your friends but God in determining what you are here to do on earth. He formed you and I for Himself to live for Him. Isaiah 43:21 says, “This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.” The New Living Translation (NLT) puts it this way, “I have made Israel for myself, and they will someday honor me before the whole world.” You are here to honour God before the world by doing His will and excelling in it. You are here to demonstrate the wisdom of God in putting you together. You are here to show the world how wonderful a Creator God is. That is the reason the enemy wants you to fail. That is the reason he is attacking your destiny to prove to the world that God is a poor manufacturer. But he will fail! He will soon be disappointed! God will show him that not even your mistakes can stop you from becoming what you are destined to be! Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Your failure is not strong enough to stop you. Your mistake is not strong enough to disqualify you, glory to God!

  1. The Lord Jesus. Hebrews 10:7-9, “Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. [8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; [9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God…” I have come to do your will which is written in the volume of the book. He searched His book and found His destiny, His assignment.

Luke 4:17-20, “And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, [18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, [19] To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. [20] And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. [21] And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”

His mission on earth was written in books. He found it, believed it, pursued and fulfilled it. Your success begins when you locate your book of destiny, retrieve the information in it and begin to operate from it. Failure can only occur when the book of destiny is ignored or what is revealed from it is rejected. For most people it is simply ignored altogether.

Benefits Of Finding Your Purpose And Living It

  1. All things work together for good for those who embrace and fulfil God’s purpose. All things worked together for Joseph because he served divine purpose. The hatred of his brothers took him to the place of his promotion. Potiphar’s house took him closer. Prison gave him the connection to Pharaoh who promoted him.
  2. We will be richer, happier and more fulfilled.
  3. We will make great impact in the society.
  4. We will be blessed like Abraham and be a blessing.
  5. And of course, we will have great names that will open doors in important places.
  6. We can then influence the politics of our nation and other nations in the path of love, righteousness and human dignity.
  7. We will struggle less.

You will survive every trial and affliction the enemy throws at you. I command anything blocking your marital and financial destiny to be removed right now, in the name of Jesus!

I command every evil transaction to steal your destiny to be cancelled right now, in the name of Jesus! I command full restoration of your hope. You will come into the path of life.

I declare the labours of your hands blessed. I declare your family blessed.

You will not be numbered among the dead! You and your loved ones will live and not die!

When the coronavirus is dead and gone, you will be alive and flourishing, in the name of Jesus.
