The sham called Rivers PDP ward congress

The panel had already been settled and the electoral umpire had already been compromised. All their planning was in vain. For them, the congress was just an opportunity for the masses to fight and destroy things. They do not care if Rivers people die as long as they win.
We do care; and that’s why we steered clear. The Rivers State Wike-led members of the PDP executive don’t realise that we are several steps ahead of them. None of the key aspirants were involved in the congresses. That should be a signal for the party. Our silence will speak louder than our words. In the end PDP will sit up and address this sham or they will lose us and lose Rivers State. Nothing is impossible.’’
What else can one add? I believe the main problem is with President Goodluck Jonathan and his style of leadership.  We now doubt his capability to effectively lead the country further. If he cannot tame his wife, on a simple and common home-front problem, then one may assume he has thus far presided over the nation’s affairs by sheer luck. See how Boko Haram insurgency is depleting our territory.
The president should sit up and start reorganising from the home-fronts, including the ‘corrupt’ National Working Committee of the PDP which, just for a plate of porridge, Wike was able to capture them all. It is a pity that Goodluck Jonathan will have to bear the brunt and the meddlesomeness of his uncontrollable wife and heavily compromised party top functionaries.
As Tonye Princewill said, if the sham called Rivers State PDP ward congress is not cancelled, the party would lose Rivers State and also probably lose all the 16 governorship hopefuls and their followers. Borrowing again from Tonye, nothing is impossible.
