National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) say the new hard drug is liquid in nature and common among youths especially secondary school students.
NDLEA commander in Ondo state Mohammed Salami says users use squishes mainly to gaining self confidence.
“We have just discovered some new drugs in the state that is being used by youths. We have what they call squishes, in addition to Gegemu, Tramador, Mixture and monkey tail that were already in existence and trying to evacuate from the society.
It is a blend of alcohol and tramadol, with flavour and colouring.
It is said to be highly intoxicating and addictive, capable of producing severe physical or psychological dependence, as heroin.
The NDLEA boss called on the public to cooperate with their security counterpart in ensuring a drug-free society saying.
He urged parents to be more vigilant about their ward and the public to give useful information that could assist the agency in the fight against drugs and criminalities.
