Female students of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai were traumatized after their rooms were allegedly ransacked by an undisclosed number of thieves.
The incident, which occurred on June 29 at the Kobo female hostel, was said to be the third in which personal belongings worth hundreds of thousands of naira including phones, laptops as well as money, were stolen.
Female students later took to the streets to protest the invasion of their hostels by thieves for the third time. They said the security guards must take up their responsibilities with diligence.
