Burj Al Arab

The Burj Khalifa

Another first for Dubai is being home to the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. It is the second structure sighted after the China Wall.

Its needle point crown can be seen from literarily any angle in Dubai as it seems to soar through the Arabian skies.

With an advance reservation online you can save quite a bit as against buying tickets on arrival to gain entry.

Its 134th floor gives a wow view of Dubai.

The Wafi Mall

Dubai is a destination well known for its shopping malls, but the Wafi Mall is said to be distinctly one of the most expensive if not the most. Although its size is as monstrous as many other malls, it has far less crowd than any of the others and has attractions for everybody regardless of age, gender or race.

Opened in 2001, Wafi Mall is one of Wafi City’s major attraction. Asides the mall, Wafi is home to the prestigious 5-star Ruffles Hotel, restaurants, residences, and a nightclub.

Shaped like a pyramid towering over the City, Raffles has two hundred and forty eight rooms spread on eighteen floors.

Styled after ancient Egypt, Wafi is adorned with statues of pharaohs, pyramids and columns reminiscent of Karnak, all in light brown coloured stones peculiar to Egyptian architecture.

Many tourists prefer to shop in other places where they can get better deals but Wafi still magnets them to her door steps with her daily light and sound show. The display titled ‘Return of the pharaohs’ begins at 7pm and 8.30pm on weekdays and 7pm, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

The Dubai Mall

There is everything inside the Dubai Mall from its gigantic aquarium, Kidzania world for children, underwater zoo, a 22-screen cinema; indoor theme park, Sega to its full-scale ice rink one day and a little more is what you need to explore all these delights.

Above all these is the location of the famous dancing fountain, the Dubai Fountain. Open from 6pm every day, visitors troop to watch the display in their thousands.
