The Executive Director, Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC), Auwal Musa Rafsanjani, yesterday said it would be difficult for third force to dislodge the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.
Speaking on Trust TV’s Daily Politics, he said even though Nigerians were yearning and demanding for an alternative platform, it would not be possible soon.
“This is because of the commercialization and the privatization of the political process,” he said.
“Nigeria’s political process is simply about money now and as you may know, APC and PDP have invested so much structure and resources to continue to use money as a tool to capture political power.
“So, the alternative platform has not got that confidence and trust from Nigerian people to know that it is going to be different from these two political parties because the people have suffered enough in the hands of these two political parties. They have not been able to come out from the trauma that these political parties have put on them,” he said.
