This Day Law Editor, Olufunke Aboyade and 16 others were today appointed as Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN) by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC). 

Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Mr. Sunday Olorundahunsi disclosed this Friday at a press briefing which took place at the Supreme Court in Abuja.

He said that a date to swear in the new silks shall be announced later.
The new silks are – Adele Eberechi, Olumide Olusoga Sofowora, Olufunke
Aboyade, Uko Essien Udon, Anthony Ikechukwu Ani and Godwin Odumu Obla.
The rest are Suraj Sa’eda, Anthony Chukwuemeka Anarnugwu, Joe Ad’ojo
Abrahams, Akinlolu Timothy Kehinde, Prof. Lawrence Asekome Atsegbua,
Biriyai Dambo, Chulwuma-Machukwu Ume, Olalekan Fatai Yusuf, Moyosore Jubril
Onigbanjo, Aliyu Maitasamu Abdullahi and Victoria Olufunmilayo Awomolo.
Only Prof. Atsegbua is from the academic circle.
