It’s Our Year of New Breakthroughs. That means new discoveries, new ideas and new happenings. These are all we’re expecting that God will do in the New Year. So every day of 2011, we are expecting that God will give us areas we have never experienced before.

There are things that other people have experienced but when they come to me, they are new. Just like the bible tells us in Lamentations in chapter 3, his mercies are new every morning…

Take for example, the discovery of antibiotics that has served so many lives over the years. Before, those things killed human beings. But when that idea, that discovery came mankind has benefited since then. I believe this is going to happen to everyone that keys into this theme for 2011.

There have been apprehensions about this year. What does the man of God foresee of the year?

There are crises now but they will not remain like that in 2011. Take for instance, if I have new ideas, that means we’ll be able to solve some of the problems that are staring us in the face right now. Some people are perplexed: how do we solve the Jos crisis, the Boko Haram, the Niger Delta etc.

But if we have breakthroughs, new ideas begin to come, we will be able to surmount these problems in 2011. They are all tied to the discoveries that we will make in 2011.

Some of them are beginning to surface now. God is giving us the vision, the dream for 2011, but real manifestation comes now that we have entered 2011.

Do you believe we’ll have peaceful elections this year?

We are praying so and God has never failed us. Those that are praying should just stay in the place of prayer and believe God.

What words have you for believers who have suffered tribulations in the past year?

If you are trusting God, all it takes is to say, “Can I believe God to do great things in my life, in my family, in my community, in my nation? If I can believe God, there is nothing that cannot happen. The bible says with God, all things are possible.

So if we believe God, 2011 is not different from any other year. But it is what I go into 2011 with. There is still going to be challenges like every other year—there is there going to be troubles, crises within families, communities, the nation. Even the INEC chairman said we are not going to have perfect elections. But I believe that we are going to have perfect elections. It is my belief that God will steer the hand of INEC chairman, working with him to make us have perfections. There is hope for this nation if everyone believes God.
