This peculiar means of transportation has been the most reliable, efficient and convenient because it goes to all nooks n crannies of Minna metropolis. It can be said that more than 70 percent of the inhabitants of Minna patronizes okada without choice and a large number of people including graduates of higher institutions of learning, the elderly with wives and children engage in the business as a means of livelihood.
Therefore, Governor Babangida Aliyu’s decision to ban commercial motorcyclists has brought suffering to the masses that depend on that mode of transportation to move about. Many people can be seen by the road sides trekking to different destinations due to inadequacy of tricycles that the government said would replace motorcycles. The situation is really pathetic as many students and workers appear to be really helpless.
