We keep our fingers crossed for an Abuja based multi-media practitioner who is young and upwardly mobile to take it this year. Books play a great part in his success and growth. Here is what he is currently reading. Be Inspired. Alkasim is the first guest of this page enjoying a second appearance. He was first featured here on Independence Day last year as our 50th anniversary citizen for pro activeness and patriotism. He makes it back to the page for several reasons. Young, admirable, celebral and multi-talented on several fronts; he remains an exemplary Nigerian. Only recently, Alkasim was nominated for the young journalist of the year by The Future Awards. The award is the most important recognition given to young Nigerians. Everyone nominated in Alkasim’s category deserves to be there. Should Alkasim win it, and we hope he does, it will be well deserved. His antecedents speak for him.
