Deji co-founded Fortis Microfinance Bank and was the pioneer managing director. He is also the visionary of Fortis Academy, an institution accredited by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

As his contribution to nation building, Deji established an NGO; Switch Development Initiative.  He contributes articles to local and international media and has authored two books; SWITCH! and DECODED.

His professional fellowships are varied and include; the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Institute of Fraud Management and Control, Risk Management Association of Nigeria (RIMAN). He is also a member of Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship, IBB Golf Club and Abuja Literary Society among others. I first met Deji Fisho when I was paired with him by the Abuja literary society at a Book jam to read from our respective books. I found him warm and giving but I also found a brother with whom I share a burning love for man and country. His passion for mentoring and his interest in changing society for the better stands him head and shoulders above the mundane. In addition his love for books has made him the engaging person that he is. Enjoy his five favourite books.
