There was panic at Yazufa Junction Danmani community of Rigasa in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State following an explosion that injured three persons in the area.
The incident happened on Friday night around 8.30pm in the area close to a POS operator’s shop near Abubakar Sadiq Mosque, according to residents.
Daily Trust gathered that an object believed to be explosives was found close to a motorcycle belonging to the POS operator.
A local vigilante, who didn’t mention his name, said the explosion injured the POS operator, who was later rushed to the hospital.
“The man was rushed to hospital for treatment because his legs and fingernails were badly affected. The case has been reported to police,” he said.
Another resident of the area, who simply identified himself as Shehu, said three people were injured and one is in critical condition.
According to him, a team of anti-bomb squads arrived at the scene and succeeded in detonating the second explosive.
The State Commissioner Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan confirmed the incident saying two people were injured.
