The police in Lagos State yesterday arraigned three men before an Ikeja magistrate court for allegedly conspiring with some other persons to steal N240 million, property of Grace Farmers Limited.
The accused persons – Oluwaseun Akadiri, 38; 32-year-old Tunde Olafimihan and 32-year-old Samuel Oluwafemi – were accused of committing forgery and stealing of the money at Ikorodu, Lagos.
The police told the court that the three men stole the money by altering the company’s e-mail address and bank account details between January 20, 2019 and June 2019.
The three men pleaded not guilty to the two- count criminal charge levelled against them.
Chief Magistrate Y. O. Aje-Afunwa admitted them to bail of N200,000 each, with two sureties and verifiable tax payment.
Aje-Afunwa adjourned the case till December 12, 2019 for further hearing.
