It is time for all Nigerians irrespective of religious or ethnic group to celebrate our military personnel.
For many years now, parts of the country have been under attack by members of the Boko Haram sect. Every Nigerian felt the impact of the attack directly or indirectly. But thanks to military personnel, the menace of the Boko Haram sect has been greatly reduced. In the process of tackling this issue, many personnel died, leaving behind family and friends.
The military has sacrificed a lot to keep the country safe and we must be grateful to them. One way of showing that the nation is grateful is for the authourities to ensure that they are paid their benefits.
The issue of their welfare should be prioritised. Also, families that were left behind should be catered for. It is not proper for these men to work hard and receive nothing in return; we must let them know that their efforts are noticed and appreciated.
All those who deserve promotions should be elevated. As a nation, we must do everything possible to boost the morale of our personnel.
