Time to defend Birnin Gwari against insecurity

It has been in the news that Birnin Gwari local government area in Kaduna state has been disturbed by cases of armed robbery, kidnappings and cattle rustlings. Farming which is the long practiced profession of heritage has been crippled, fishing which was originally hampered by the death of Bagoma Dam was significantly affected as well, gold mining in nearby villages was considerably squashed to quagmire, the socio-economic facets of Birnin Gwari; the food basket of not only Kaduna state but the entire country was put at epileptic state. People on daily basis are being stricken by death, palpitations, perspiration and hypertension.
Everyone is in grief. No one lives with two eyes closed at night. The old jungle days have resurfaced. People are crying helplessly and authorities are very stagnant in their efforts to bulwark and beat off these atrocities.
Very unfortunate is the fact that our politicians are doing redundant efforts to espouse and stave off the situation in Birnin Gwari. They are busy attacking one another on social media when our people look up to them to deploy the mandate we gave them to avert the insecurity in Birnin Gwari.
One of them is there busy propagating bunch of lies in defence of El-Rufai’s government over an issue it has not achieved. He himself knows he was lying against the people of Birnin Gwari. How can a Special Adviser to Governor on Security Matters buy airtime on electronic media to sponsor advertorials that all is well in Birnin Gwari and environs? When on daily basis bandits are advancing towards Birnin Gwari from the surrounding villages. The bandits have succeeded in disbanding villages in the outskirts of Birnin Gwari, they stole their invaluable properties, and they killed some, injured some and kidnapped innocent girls. The villagers have been forced to take redemption and hostage in Birnin Gwari town. Agony upon agony, yet Hon Yakubu Yusuf Soja is there promoting lies to defend El Rufai that insecurity has been garrisoned.
Its excruciating to note that a lot of people have abandon their businesses and farming because of insecurity in Birnin Gwari.
We have written times without number to crave the indulgence of government on the issue of insecurity in Birnin Gwari, at some determined time, government has responded to our plight positively and successes in the fight against insecurity have been recorded, but those successes have not been consolidated because there was no optimal follow up.
Kaduna State government should restore Vigilante Services immediately. I understand that it is doing legal designs on the group in order to absorb them and give them a legally backed framework. That is indeed commendable, but that may stay too long while the need for an immediate decisive action is bound. Therefore, I advise Kaduna State government to hire some known Vigilante people to track down the worsening cases of insecurity in Birnin Gwari. We cannot wait too long, the armed robbers have encircled and engulfed Birnin Gwari town, they have finished displacing the people living in surrounding villages around Birnin Gwari, their main target now is to enter the nerve of the town and launch an assault against my people. Government should avert this ugly possibility by all means, it cannot wait for a week from this write up to plunge into an action. Let the government hire known and credible vigilante people and deploy them to work together with soldiers and the police to repel the gangs and camps of bandits around. This must done with an immediate effect because Birnin Gwari is currently under seige.
