President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named Prof. Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology Tsafe, Zamfara State.
The president also appointed Mr. Hamisu Yusuf Yelwa as the university’s registrar, Usman Nakazalle Sanusi as the Bursar, and Dr. Shehu Aminu Liman as the Librarian.
The appointment was contained in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
President Tinubu has also appointed Hon. Chisom D. Obih to the Governing Council of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State.

Obih’s appointment follows the death of a member of the council.
The president also appointed Prof. Ralph Akinfeleye, a renowned communications specialist, to the Governing Council of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Also yesterday, President Tinubu constituted the boards of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF).
The agencies are under the supervision of the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, in a statement said, Idris Olorunnimbe was appointed Chairman of NCC, while Dr Aminu Waida remains its Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer.
Other members of the board named by the Presidency includes Abraham Oshidami – Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, Rimini Makama – Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management, Hajia Maryam Bayi- Former Director, Human Capital & Administration, Col Abdulwahab Lawal (Rtd), Senator Lekan Mustafa, Chris Okorie, Princess Oforitsenere Emiko and the Secretary of the Board.
The president also approved the Board of the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF), with Dr Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, as Chairman.
Other members are, Idris Olorunimbe – Vice Chairman; Abraham Oshidami; Rimini Makama; Aliyu Edogi Aliyu – (Rep FMCIDE); Joseph B Faluyi – (Rep. of Federal Ministry of Finance); Auwal Mohammed – (Rep. of FMBNP); Uzoma Dozie; Peter Bankole; Abayomi Anthony Okanlawon; Gafar Oluwasegun Quadri and the USPF Secretary.
