President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Maiduguri, the state capital of Borno State.
The President’s plane touched down at exactly 12:58pm at Muhammadu Buhari International Airport, Maiduguri.
According to the itenary, the President would commission international airport, and other various projects executed by governor Babagana Umara Zulum in Maiduguri.
He is also expected to attend the wedding fatiha of the daughter of the former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, at the Maiduguri Central Mosque, Shehu of Borno’s palace.

Our correspondent reports there is heavy security presence across Maiduguri and its environs, as a mammoth crowd welcomed the President on his way to the town from the airport.
Security personnel from various agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Federal Road Safety Corps, were deployed to secure major routes and places where the projects would be commissioned.
