Tinubu meets NSA, Defence Chief amid widespread insecurity

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is presently meeting with the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, and Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa.

The meeting said to be at the instance of the President is taking place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The two top security chiefs arrived the Presidential Villa, at about 3 pm and went into a closed door meeting with the President.

This is the first time the President is meeting with the security chiefs since coming back from France and United Kingdom on Monday.

The president spent over two weeks in Europe, forcing opposition leaders to call for his return over disturbing security issues.

However, it is not immediately clear if other security chiefs are also attending the meeting.

Over 100 persons have been killed in the last three weeks in a renewed attacks in Plateau and Benue States by yet to be identified gunmen.

The meeting might be aimed at strategising on how to tackle the security challenges.
