Activities to ensure endorsement of president Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s second term bid at the grassroot level has commenced in kogi state.

The state Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Chief Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris inaugurated the “Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Continuity Support Group” on Monday at Isanlu, the headquarters of Yagba East local government of the state to that effect .

The inauguration of the support group and Empowerment Programme that featured was part of the activities to mark the celebration of Chief Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris’ birthday,

The inaugurated group is expected to sensitise the grassroot people of the state to endorse the candidature of President Tinubu and governor Ododo as the All Progressive Congress (APC) standard bearer, including voting for them in the 2027 presidential and governorship election in the country respectively.

“The inauguration of the “Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Continuity Support Group”, formed a strong political statement to signal a robust grassroots endorsement for the continuity of the progressive leadership and reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo”, said Idris.

In the empowerment project, the state commissioner of of Finance commissioner inaugurated six (6) solar-powered motorized boreholes that are strategically located across communities in the council.

The solar-powered boreholes is to ensure the residents of the communities have uninterrupted access to potable water to improve their health, support households activities needs, particularly women and children.

In addition, Chief Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris rolled out a broad spectrum of empowerment initiatives, cutting across entrepreneurship, party strengthening and humanitarian support, among others .

The beneficiaries who were carefully drawn from grassroots supporters, artisans, traders, youths, and vulnerable individuals, received the cash and material support to stimulate their small-scale economic activities and improve household livelihoods.

The event drew dignitaries from all walks of life, including Royal fathers, APC chieftains, stakeholders and party faithful, including religious and community leaders ,as well as associates and friends.

Stakeholders at the event described Chief Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris FCA as a leader whose celebrations consistently translate into tangible benefits for the people—combining infrastructure development, economic empowerment, party unity, and social welfare.

They said the occasion is not a birthday celebration alone , but as a strategic convergence of service, loyalty, and sustainable development to further solidifying Chief Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris standing as a dependable pillar of progress in the State.

Highlight of the activities was the distribution of the donated items to the beneficiary and inauguration of the Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Continuity Support group”.

A beneficiary, Iyabo Racheal Ogumola extol the character of the donor , assuring him of judicious use of it to boost her business .
