President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is presently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Among those present at the meeting were, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Also present were other members of the Federal Executive Council.
Before the commencement of the meeting, the President administered the oath of office to the members of the members of the National Assembly Service Commission led by their chairman, Dr Savior Onyiekere.
Also, he swore in two new Permanent Secretaries.
Just before the commencement of the meeting at about 2:30 pm, members observed a minute of silence in honour of Late Dubem Onyia, a former FEC member, who died in March.
Onyia a former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, died at the age of 73 on March 10, 2025.
