The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) has concluded this year’s Ramadan feeding in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with a call on the appointees of the All Progressives Party (APC) to do everything humanly possible to carry along members of various support groups to ensure the distribution of patronage and mutual support.

Addressing a large gathering in Abuja on Monday evening during the grand finale of the TSG Free Ramadan Feeding Programme and inter-faith breaking of fast, the organization’s Director General, Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai, noted that the founder of TSG, James Faleke, has worked to ensure many members of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and other support groups were recognized and rewarded with federal appointments. He added that these efforts are ongoing.

“One thing that all of us must remember is that we cannot all be appointed because of the limited number of positions available in government,” Yakasai stated. “The few of us who have received appointments should do everything humanly possible to carry as many members of the support groups along. This helps distribute patronage and supports the President’s efforts to reward party faithful.”

The event brought together support group leaders, Muslim and Christian faithful, party leaders, government appointees, and youth and women leaders.

Other party leaders in attendance urged Nigerians to rally behind the current administration and shun tribalism and religious bias.

Hon. Mercy Almona-Isei, a former member of the House of Representatives from Delta State, noted that the coincidence of Ramadan and Lent this year serves as a lesson in unity. She emphasized that without peace, progress remains impossible.
