The endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term by North central stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been described as a strategic step toward safeguarding Nigeria’s unity and securing its developmental future.

This position was expressed by the founder of ENACT, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi, in a statement to Daily Trust on Friday.

His response came in the wake of the meeting held in Abuja where party leaders from the region unanimously affirmed their support for Tinubu’s leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Engr. Adeyemi noted that the move was not merely a political declaration, but a reinforcement of continuity, reform, and progress.

He said the President’s policies, particularly under the Renewed Hope Agenda, have positively impacted infrastructure, agriculture, education, and the power sector in the North-Central.

“From road construction to electrification of rural communities, and from improved access to water to inclusive federal appointments, President Tinubu has demonstrated a genuine commitment to national integration and development,” he said.

He also pointed to the administration’s educational and healthcare reforms as evidence of a leadership that prioritises long-term national stability.

According to him, initiatives such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), expanded funding through TETFUND, and the integration of universities into the national clean energy and food security agenda are transformative.

“In reimagining the purpose of education, the President is positioning young Nigerians not only for academic success but for economic resilience and national innovation,” Adeyemi stated.

He hailed Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, who chaired the meeting in his capacity as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, for what he described as strategic coordination and consensus-building.

According to him, the Governor’s role was instrumental in aligning the region’s political leadership behind a common vision.

He praised AbdulRazaq’s continued effort to position the North-Central as a key stakeholder in national governance.

“Governor AbdulRazaq’s leadership at the meeting reflects a broader commitment to unity and forward-thinking governance. He has proven again that the North-Central is not only relevant but ready to lead,” he said.

ENACT reaffirmed its support for both President Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq, pledging to intensify grassroots engagement and advocacy across Kwara and the wider region in preparation for the next electoral cycle.

“We stand firmly behind the vision of a united, progressive Nigeria led by those who understand the value of inclusion, development, and reform”, he submitted.
