Tinubu Support Groups in Kano have endorsed former governor Ibrahim Shekarau as APC candidate for the Kano Central Senatorial District.

The Tinubu Support groups led by Baffa Babba Danagundi,the Director General National Productivity Centre, said the endorsement  marks a significant moment in the political landscape of Kano Central as the party prepares for the forthcoming elections.

The Support groups had earlier endorsed former Land and Physical Planning commissioner under the Shekarau administration  Garba Yusuf Abubakar for the position.

Dan’agundi said they have changed their minds  after wide consultations and careful political assessment of the situation.

He explained that though the group had earlier endorsed  Garba Yusuf Abubakar and invested heavily in promoting his candidacy across the 15 local government areas of the senatorial zone, the shift in support does not in any way diminish those efforts.

Danagundi said all structures built around  Yusuf Abubakar have now been fully aligned to support Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.

Other aspiring to represent Kano Central senatorial district are Abdulsalam Abdulkarim Zaura, Ibrahim Shaaban Sharada,a former member of the House of Representatives,.Usman Bala former Head of Service and Garba Yusuf Abubakar.
