The recent visit by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Kano State has underscored the strength and influence of the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, in Kano and across the North.

This was disclosed by Alhaji Fahad Ogan Boye, a close ally and associate of Senator Barau. The visit showcased the respect and admiration for the Senator, as well as his leadership and political prowess within the region.

President Bola Tinubu visited Kano to extend condolences to the families of the late elder statesman and business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, who recently passed away. He was accompanied by several dignitaries, including Senator Barau, who played a pivotal role in the visit, reflecting his growing influence and connection with the people of the state.

Alhaji Fahad, popularly known as Ogan Boyen Sanata Barau Maliya, stated, “With this level of admiration from the people of Kano State, Senator Barau has distinguished himself as a leader and a strong pillar of the APC from Kano. His influence extends beyond Kano to other parts of Northern Nigeria, marking him as a significant leader in the region.”

He added, “Senator Barau played a crucial role in ensuring that President Tinubu’s visit was smooth and successful. The various arrangements he put in place received significant approval from the President.”

This visit, marking President Tinubu’s first to Kano State since taking office, was intended to offer condolences to the families of the late business mogul, Aminu Alhassan Dantata.

Alhaji Fahad noted that this visit is a testament to Senator Barau’s growing influence in Kano and the North, and his capacity to facilitate high-level engagements that benefit the region.

“Senator Barau didn’t achieve this by accident; he worked hard for it. He is a diligent senator, and his contributions are unprecedented in the North. He has initiated several developmental bills in the National Assembly and has made numerous interventions, including the recent establishment of the North West Development Commission (NWDC), which highlights his outstanding contributions,” he said.

He commended Senator Barau for his significant interventions and exceptional legislation, encouraging him to maintain this momentum in order to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections.

“With this kind of performance, I believe Senator Barau can deliver the North for President Tinubu and our great party, the APC, in the forthcoming 2027 elections,” he concluded.
