Proponents of Team New Nigeria, TNN, a political movement seeking registration as a political party, have said they have not given up but have resolved to continue as a formidable coalition for a “New Nigeria”.

President of TNN, Modibbo Yakubun Farakwai made the statement, in Abuja, while inaugurating committees to lead the movement’s engagement, policy formation, as well as grassroots mobilization towards the 2027 election year.

Farakwai explained that, as far as the team is concerned, it has done all in the bid to be registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, TNN and fulfilled every constitutional requirement as well as  every statutory obligation to be qualified but is yet to be cleared by the commission.

“But yet, here we are sitting today, facing an inexcusable delay from the INEC,” he added, vowing the team will not relent until it is registered to participate in elections.
