Tolula Adeyemi is a Nigerian, London-born multi-talented musician, model, DJ and an amazing actress.
The Los Angeles and London based actress/model broke into the limelight and gained the attention of the media and fashion industry with her success as Vivienne Westwood’s muse (she appears in the acclaimed designer’s Gold label Ad campaign and Fashion week runway shows ) as well as being the face of British luxury sports/activewear label, Hari and countless editorials in Vanity Fair, British Vogue, Teen Vogue, GQ, Dazed & Confused amongst others.
Born to the family of Doctor and Medical professor Edward and Doctor and Pharmacist Margaret Remi with family as her primary source of inspiration, her upbringing emphasised not only science but the magic of music, art and cinema.
She was 11 when she made her debut in the musical version of Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” and one can say in no doubt that has enhanced her acting skills and sharpened her love for her craft.
Tolula’s first role in a major feature film – Last Chance Harvey (2008) where she played Monique, a Role as a jazz singer in a scene opposite Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thomson, a small role, but it helped to open more doors for her and she was gaining ground in the ever-evolving world of Entertainment.
Anyone who follows Tolula religiously would have observed the ambiguity in roles and characters the actress portrays.
Since her debut in Last Chance Harvey, some of Tolula’s projects include the film Anywhere With You (We, The Coyotes) set in LA. Tolula was supporting lead opposite McCaul Lombardi (American Honey) Morgan Saylor (Homeland), Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad) & Loreli Linklater (Boyhood).
The movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and The LA Film Festival in 2019. She is gradually making waves and trumping in the international movie world, since her debut in Last Chance Harvey.
One fascinating thing about her is how she is advocating for female empowerment and supporting POC in Entertainment. Tolula hopes to uplift people, her long-time support for many charities, has been evident from her early successes such as The Kids Company, The Teen Project, Terrence Higgins Trust and Doctors Without Borders.
In Tolula’s modelling work, she can be currently seen in the pages of Salysé magazine, covers of various magazines and in modelling campaigns for celebrity fashion designer and film costumer Julia Clancey.
Tolula’s projects, commitment and love for her craft creates a dynamic personality for her and gradually becomes a household name. Tolula is featured as the first astronaut to Mars in the recently released Mini-movie directed by Eric Rojas and produced by Dream Bear Productions in collaboration with DJ Kaskade and Musician EllaVos.
The entire video is cinematically brilliant and overall inspiring as the sounds of Kaskade and Ella Vox Create an uplifting musical effect.
The story follows two astronauts, Korean-American actor Chris Tae Lee and the talented Tolula, as they appear for their mission to Mars.
Tolula is not deterred about her goals and pursuits. She placed high hopes that she can turn her theatre company into a production company that produces captivating and prestigious projects for the screen.
