5. Alexandre Lacazette’s ‘team goal’ against Southampton

This should be called an “anti-press” goal. From the moment the ball left Aaron Ramdale’s feet, the other arsenal players dealt perfectly well with Ralph Hasenhüttl ‘s team aggressive press and Lacazette made no mistake to lash it home. It was an excellent team goal that showcased the benefits of passing from the back, a method that many teams have tried and failed at over the past few years. Much credit goes to Mikel Arteta. 

4. Mohamed Salah’s goal against Watford

The footwork, the cutback, the finish, orgasmic football at its finest. The only reason this goal did not win the Premier league October goal of the month was because the Egyptian king scored a better goal against Man City prior to this.

3. Ronaldo’s 25-yard strike against Tottenham

Ronaldo picked up the ball from a Fred pass, 25 yards from goal and arrowed in one of cleanest strikes seen in recent times.

The composure to go past Bernardo silva, deceive Laporte and then to score from a tight angle was simply magnificent. That is why no player has scored more goals than him since his arrival in the Premier League.

The Croatian produced the best goal of this season with a stunning volley from outside the box. We have seen teams get similar chances, most times it does not even result in a half chance. But the Chelsea midfielder gave fans one to remember.
