Paramount ruler of Tiv nation worldwide, the Tor Tiv, Prof. James Ayatse has hailed the various initiative of President Mohammadu Buhari’s led Federal Government and urged him to ensure proper monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the policies.

Ayatse said the administration had laudable policies and programmes that are meant to impact positively on the lives of Nigerians especially the youths if faithfully implemented.

The monarch who spoke in Makurdi during a stakeholders meeting described President Buhari’s initiatives as very laudable but wondered why implementation has not averted the current crisis situation rocking the country with destruction of lives and properties.

He noted that the ENDSARS protest was an euphemism for dissatisfied Nigerian youths who perhaps do not feel the desired impact of the several federal government’s special intervention programmes and policies as they anticipated.

The Tor Tiv also appealed to the federal government to hasten and resolve the lingering crisis with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), stressing the need for compromise on both sides to end the prolonged strike so that students idle at home and becoming ready tools for the crisis would go back to school.

Ayatse further appealed to the Nigerian youths to give peace a chance, having made their point and allow the federal government to take appropriate actions to address their concerns.
