The Paramount Ruler of the Tiv nation, Tor Tiv, Prof. James Ayatse, has promised to support the  proposed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Trust Fund.

Ayatse made the promise at his Gboko palace, while receiving the Benue State Coordinator of NYSC, Abe Dankaro and his management staff.

The royal father eulogised the progress of the NYSC, stating, “ I speak as a  stakeholder and an ex- corps member, the NYSC has been a major tool of national integration and has continually played a strong role against stereotype, nepotism and other national problems bedeviling the country.”

He admonished corps members to interact freely with the locals in his domain, describing the residents of Gboko as, “hospitable and caring,” but warned that they must be security conscious  at all times.

Earlier, the NYSC Benue State Coordinator, Dankaro,  appealed to the monarch to persuade the state governor to complete the multi-purpose hall at the NYSC camp in Wannune, which is already at the  roofing stage.
