Town planners honor communications outfit

The Nigeria Institute of Town Planners, FCT Chapter, has given award to Fesadeb Communications as the most outstanding communications outfit that promotes the practice of town planning in the FCT.
 Fesadeb Communications received the award during the celebration of the 2015 FCT Chapter Town Planners Week held last week at NAF Convention Centre, Abuja.
The chairman Organising Committee Tpl. Mukhtar Galadima said  Fesadeb Communications Ltd deserves the award from Town Planners as they have been in the fore front of promoting the practice of town planning and affordable housing in Nigeria.
According to the Chairman, Nigeria Institute of Town Planners FCT Chapter, TPL Garba Kwamkur, the theme “Urban and Regional Planning Practice in the Era of Change” involves attitudinal change on issues, challenges and opportunities faced by planners on their day to day practice of the profession.
He said the profession of urban and regional planning has come of age to rise to the challenge of quackery and terminate the works of impostors as  this will help give Nigerians the type of change  which is conducive for living, works, recreation and interaction in peace and harmony in other to promote growth and development.
Garba observed that these are only achievable through creative thinking, proactive steps and effective management resources for the benefit of those that planners plan for.
He however reminded planners that Nigerians are earnestly waiting for change from town planners to give our cities the befitting status of physically functional structures, balanced Land -Use Act patterns, and aesthetic beauty.
