The company, in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Mrs Bukunola Ogunnusi and made available to Sunday Trust, said the donation was part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) gesture.
“Toyota Nigeria has donated an ambulance to UCH, Ibadan. The donation to the University College Hospital is a CSR (corporate social responsibility) gesture. The ambulance is worth N7,500,000 and was donated to UCH to further assist in the delivery of prompt and quality medical attention to the public. UCH is the premier University Teaching hospital in Nigeria and the ambulance was presented to the UCH team at the Toyota Awards held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos”, she said.
According to the statement, Toyota Nigeria would soon extend the gesture to other universities in the country.
It would be recalled that Toyota is one of the leading automobile companies in the country.
