As part of activities to mark this year’s International Youth Day, The Peak Performer Africa (TPP Africa), in partnership with the U.S. Consulate and American Spaces, is set to host a dual-city summit aimed at preparing young Africans for the future of business, leadership, and innovation.
The event, themed “21st Century Intelligence – Artificial or Emotional?”, will hold simultaneously in Lagos and Abuja on August 19, 2025. It is expected to attract over 1,000 participants, including final-year students, early-career professionals, startup founders, and social innovators.
One of the major highlights of the event is the EMERGE Innovation Fund, a ₦500,000 seed grant that will be awarded to the most outstanding youth-led business or social impact idea. Finalists will pitch their projects live before a panel of local and international judges. The winner will also benefit from a six-month mentorship programme and access to visibility and coaching platforms.
According to Dr. Abiola Salami, publisher of TPP Africa and convener of the EMERGE 2025 summit, the initiative is designed to catalyse youth-led innovation and economic transformation across the continent.

“Africa is not a continent in waiting. It is a continent in motion. EMERGE 2025 is our bold response to prepare the next generation for what lies ahead,” Salami said.
“We are focused on equipping young Africans with tools, capital, and networks to build solutions that respond to emerging local and global challenges.”
Beyond the innovation fund, the summit will feature leadership workshops, expert panels, mentorship sessions, and networking opportunities. Registration is free but competitive, with applications now open at www.tppafrica.com/emerge. Approved participants will receive a digital welcome kit, access to innovation fund application forms, and invites to pre- and post-event sessions.
TPP Africa has called on corporate organizations, foundations, and government agencies to support the initiative through sponsorship or partnerships. Sponsorship benefits include naming rights to the Innovation Fund, product activation spaces, and branding across event locations.
EMERGE is the flagship youth empowerment program of TPP Africa, a pan-African leadership and media platform that aligns its work with global development frameworks such as the UN Youth Strategy and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
