A statement jointly signed by TOOAN national president, Engr. Elesa Bitrus Yakubu and Mr. Samuel K Kumolu, national secretary described as  laudable the programme embarked upon by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in boosting agricultural mechanisation services across the country.
 The association in the statement said that the programme has brought great succour to members and enhanced its capacity to expand and increase tractor hiring services to more Nigerian farmers.
 TOOAN is an organised private sector mechanisation services providers in 27 states of the federation.
 The statement reads in part: “Prior to this programme, members have acquired more than 200 units of brand new tractors through bank loan at 22% to 26% interest rate, with 2-3 years tenor, and also from some state governments at low interest rates.
