Traders, commercial motorcycle operators and passersby on Saturday crowded Osun state governor Rauf Aregbesola at a filling station located along Odi-Olowo/Jaleyemi road in Osogbo, capital of Osun State.
The governor’s convoy entered the filling station to buy petrol and Aregbesola sat quietly inside his white jeep.
Some passersby sighted the governor and called the attention of the traders and other people to it.
A crowd gathered and surrounded the governor’s car struggling to catch a glimpse of the state’s helmsman.
The crowd begged the governor to come out for everyone to see him.
Aregbesola eventually came out from the open roof of his car and waved to the cheering crowd of his admirers.
The governor used the opportunity to test his popularity on the street of Osogbo again.
He remained on the open roof of the car even as the convoy left the filling station and moved towards Jaleyemi, Isale-Osun and Itaolokan area via the new dual carriage road he constructed.
Aregbesola kept waving to people on the streets as they hailed and applauded him.
