In a statement he issued, Soba said the recent rehabilitation of the Government Girls Science Secondary School, Soba, by the Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero-led administration would go a long way in improving students’ performance during WAEC and NECO examinations.
Soba added: “The renovation of the school would serve as motivation to teachers and students and this will also ensure attainment of good results by students of the school in WAEC and NECO examinations. There is a strong correlation between learning environment and performance of students.
“This is why our community is particularly happy for the renovation of some dilapidated buildings that include staff quarters, classrooms and dormitories, among other, in the school, which was executed at the cost of about N100m. We feel that this effort by Kaduna State Government deserves our commendation, because we feel that a good learning and teaching environment boosts the morale of both teachers and students.”
