The Chief of Dafa, Kwali area council, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdullahi Kajiya, has warned that jobs must be created for youths to forestall restiveness from the group.
The chief, who spoke with our reporter during a stakeholder’s security meeting, said job creation plays an integral role in economic growth.
Noting that the harsh economic realities were responsible for the present wave of unemployment, Abdullahi, in the company of his subjects, said it was very heart-breaking to see unemployed youths begging for alms.
He said, “We must create jobs, if not, we will get mobbed one day by the unemployed youths; they are like a time bomb. When businesses are folding up, shops are closing, industries are falling, foreign direct investment is not coming, poverty is embarrassingly becoming our trade mark, the rating of our hardworking businessmen by international rating agencies is becoming dismal, then there is cause for concern.”
