A 50-year-old man simply identified as Emmanuel has been crushed to death by a moving train in the Oshodi area of Lagos State.
The incident was said to have occurred around 9am on Saturday while the deceased was walking along the Arena shopping mall end of the railway tracks.
Lagos State Police Spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a WhatsApp message, said the incident was reported at Mosafejo Police Station by the deceased’s younger sister.
Hundeyin said in her report, the woman claimed that she received a phone call around 1.33pm same day that her 50-year- old elder brother, who she identified as Emmanuel, was allegedly crushed by a moving train at Arena shopping complex, Oshodi.

Hundeyin said based on the report, a team of policemen from the station visited the scene.
He said, “The detectives deposited the body at the morgue after photographs were taken.
“The case has since been handed over to the Railway Police Command at Ebute Metta for further investigations.”
