A 39-year-old woman, Gift Iwunze, who allegedly defrauded Shekinat International School, Lagos, of a sum of N20 million, was last weekend arraigned before an Igbosere magistrate court, Lagos.
The police alleged that Iwunze, the Director of Dreams and Trips Ltd, Lagos, fraudulently collected the said sum on the pretext she would arrange for a tour to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for pupils of Shekinat International School, as well as arrange accommodation and procure visas for them.
The offence, according to the police, was committed sometime in March 2019.
Iwunze pleaded not guilty to the three-count criminal charge.
Magistrate Aro-Lambo admitted the suspect to a bail of N2m, with two sureties and fixed trial for September 26, 2019.
