The National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Asaba, Delta State, yesterday ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a supplementary election for Delta South Senatorial seat.
Daily Trust reports that the order followed the declaration of the February 25, election in the senatorial zone inconclusive by the tribunal.
The three-member tribunal headed by Justice Catherine Ogunsola ordered that the supplementary election should be conducted for Warri South Local Government Area of the senatorial district within 90 days.

The Justice Ogunsola-led tribunal order was sequel to a petition by Michael Diden of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with number EPT/DT/SEN/01/2023, against the declaration of Onowakpo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the election by INEC.
