The election of Abdulkarim Usman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been upheld by the National Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

Usman represents Akwanga, Eggon and Wamba federal constituency.

Muhammad Yau of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was challenging his election as a lawmaker.

Justice Willy Chechey confirmed that the PDP candidate polled the highest votes and was declared winner of the February 23 polls by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
