Late Dr. Shettima Ali Monguno is a famous educationist, patriotic politician philanthropy, elder state man, chairman Borno State elder’s forum, father of the orphans, voice of the voiceless defender of the defenceless. He always concerned with what affect generality of people, he sponsored a more than ten thousand orphan and children in various institution of learning, he also take the responsibility of sponsoring any female indigene of Borno State wishing to study medicine in any of the Nigerian University. He is among the pioneers that made Nigeria to be a petroleum exporting country; other legacy is the establishment of Maiduguri Petroleum Depot.
Dr. Shettima Ali Monguno  can be remembered as among those who labored for modern Nigeria, that present generation are prance on it. May Allah give us the zeal to serve Nigeria patriotically the way he served.
Finally, may Allah make Al-jannatul Firdausi as his final destination point Ameen.
