We really have positive national heroes whose handworks, handwritings, efforts and contributions are all over. To such selected few falls Professor Jibrin Aminu.

We are really lucky as a people and country to have the likes of the Professor, who hindsight’s on the future of our farming communities in particular and the entire nomadic people in general. This led to the establishment of the Nomadic Education. Had Nigeria kept to plan and policy on nomadic education, by now we would have transformed the famer-herdsmen relationship into cordial and business oriented status. Our cattle breeders would have become a great source of revenue generators and foreign exchange earners.

Unfortunately, the moment Prof. Jibrin left the educational sector, his successors failed to make progress in the right direction and Nomadic Education died.

Congratulations Distinguished Senator and people’s Professor. May Allah continue to bless you.
