Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have apprehended a 22-year-old tricyclist, Habubakar Umar, for allegedly defiling four minors.
The command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said the suspect, a resident of Rumde Baru in Yola North Local Government Area, was arrested on May 14, by the State Intelligence Department (SID).
According to the police, the suspect, who was hired to transport the victims to school, allegedly had sexual intercourse with the four male children, who are between 8 and 9 years old.

SP Nguroje said the arrest followed a complaint lodged by the parents of the victims.
He further noted that the suspect had confessed to the crime, attributing his actions to the devil.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Dankombo Morris, has directed a thorough investigation and prompt prosecution of the case.
