Troops of 3 Division and Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have killed two suspected bandits in Nteng community of Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The troops also said they recovered arms from the bandits.
Spokesperson of Operation Safe Haven, Major Samson Zhakom, who disclosed the development to journalists in Jos, said many of the escaped bandits were injured during the incident, adding that the success of the operation followed credible information on plans to attack the community.
Major Zhakom said, “Troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN laid ambush against the criminals and made contact with them while approaching the Nteng community. During the encounter, troops neutralised two bandits while others fled with possible gunshot wounds, as indicated by the blood stains along their withdrawal routes.
