Troops of Operation Whirl Punch and Operation Forest Sanity II have killed two bandits during clearance operations in the Rijana general area of Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to an operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government, the troops initiated advance, systematically clearing several locations, including Amale, Gidan Jatau, Gidan Danfulani and Gidan Duna, all without encountering any resistance.
Samuel Aruwan, the commissioner in the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
“As the forces advanced to Gidan Dutse, they encountered bandits. In the ensuing firefight, two bandits were neutralised while several others managed to escape with gunshot wounds.

“The troops conducted a thorough search of the area and recovered a significant cache of items: three AK-47 rifles, two motorcycles, two AK-47 magazines, 19 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, two mobile phones and two MP3 players,” the statement added.
