Troops have killed 4 suspected gunmen at Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Council of Anambra State, home town of Governor Charles Soludo.
According to eyewitness, the incident happened when a gang of gunmen struck at a check point of the Nigerian Army around Afor-Uzo Junction in Isuofia at the early hours of yesterday.

The state Commissioner for Information, Paul Nwosu, while confirming the incident, said when the gunmen struck the military check, “the gallant and alert security agents gave them a hot chase immediately and neutralised four of the gang members in a fierce exchange of shootings.”
He also said the security operative recovered a Toyota Avenza the killed suspects used in launching their operation.
Spokesman of Anambra State Police Command DSP Tochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the incident said the situation is under control.
