He added that one Abdulrasheed Gambo Na Halima and Abubakar Idris Na Halima were arrested as suspected collaborators by the security forces.
Aruwan said the clearance operations were conducted in Faka, Katuka, Barebari and Maguzawa.
He pointed out that an unconfirmed number of bandits were sighted on the high ground across the Maguzawa River, adding, “They were engaged by a Nigerian Air Force attack helicopter, and neutralised.”
He said the security forces equally conducted clearance patrols to Katuka, about 9km from Kangon Kadi in Chikun Local Government Area, during which one fleeing bandit was apprehended.
Aruwan added that some motorcycles, one AK47 rifle, some AK47 magazines, ammunition and drugs were recovered after razing some bandits’ camps in Udawa in Chikun.
