Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in Kuyambana Forest, Zamfara State, have rescued two babies and five women abducted from Marange village in Kagara Local Government Area of Niger State in January 2024.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Information Officer of Operation Hadarin Daji, Lieutenant Suleiman Omale.

Omale said the victims were rescued through offensive operations carried out by the troops in the Kuyambana General area of Zamfara State.

“The successful rescue operation was as a result of the relentless pressure exerted on the bandits by the troops, which led to the escape of the victims from the terrorists’ enclaves. The interception by the troops on March 13, 2024 marked the beginning of their journey to freedom,” he said.
