A 15-year old girl and a commercial cyclist were run over by a truck Friday near the Fruit market in Zuba. The victims died on the spot.

He said the truck driver had off loaded some fruits at the market but that when it was time to go, the truck failed to start. He said people had to push it before it started but that the brakes failed instantly and that was when the truck ran over the cyclist and the girl.

When contacted, the Zuba unit commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), ACC Muta’a Chori, confirmed the incident, adding that it was being handled by Zuba police division.
